Titanium Grade 11 – Excellent Corrosion Resistance with Low Density and High Formability

Titanium Grade 11 – The Perfect Material for Demanding, Corrosive Environments

Titanium Grade 11 is a commercially pure titanium optimized by the addition of palladium. This addition significantly improves its already excellent corrosion resistance, especially in highly oxidizing or reducing environments. Titanium Grade 11 combines the advantages of pure titanium, such as low weight and high strength, with outstanding chemical stability.

Due to the palladium content, Titanium Grade 11 exhibits exceptional resistance in media with extreme pH values and in chloride-containing solutions, making it particularly suitable for applications in the chemical, petrochemical, and marine technologies. The high ductility and weldability of Titanium Grade 11 also make it easier to process, allowing for the manufacture of complex components.

With its excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in seawater, salt solutions and chemical media, Titanium Grade 11 is the preferred material for:

  • Components in the chemical and petrochemical industries exposed to constant corrosive stresses
  • Marine technology components, such as heat exchangers and pumps that must withstand seawater
  • Systems for sustainable energy production, such as desalination plants and heat exchangers
