Titanium Grade 4 – Robust Strength for Demanding Applications
Titanium Grade 4 – The Material for Challenging Conditions
Titanium Grade 4 is one of the strongest commercially pure Titanium grades and is characterized by exceptionally high strength and good corrosion resistance. Compared to other pure Titanium grades, Titanium Grade 4 offers even higher tensile strength and fatigue resistance, making it the preferred material for applications that require high mechanical loads. Despite its increased strength, it remains relatively lightweight, making it an ideal material for use in high-tech applications.
Titanium Grade 4 is especially suitable for industrial applications, particularly in environments that require high mechanical demands and some corrosion resistance. It is resistant to a variety of chemical substances, making it a preferred choice for the petrochemical industry, mechanical engineering and aerospace.
The machinability of Titanium Grade 4 is excellent, although it requires slightly more effort during machining due to its higher strength. Nevertheless, the material remains versatile with excellent weldability and formability, making it highly efficient for a range of applications.
